Manohar Menon leads the engineering function and is a member of the senior leadership team at a
major pharmaceutical manufacturer in Manitoba. A mechanical engineer by education, Manohar has
several years of international experience in operations and engineering management. He enjoys serving
in professional and community organizations outside of work.
As a first-generation immigrant himself, he deeply values the formal and informal mentorship and
guidance he received from individuals and community to integrate with Canadian society.
He looks forward to paying it forward as an advisor for this fledgling organization
As a small business owner, Bindu has been providing day care services for children from 1 to 5 years of
age for over 16 years. It brings extraordinary joy to her heart to look after the world’s greatest treasures.
Bindu immigrated to Canada in 2002 and fell in love with ‘Friendly Manitoba’. She considers herself to
be very fortunate to live in this great country. Bindu has been an active member in a variety of roles with The Malayali Association of Manitoba and
other Organizations. As a firm believer in giving back to the community, she loves contributing her
experience and energy as a volunteer with organizations she cares about.
Bindu has a keen interest in the community she lives in and enjoys listening to people’s stories, giving
them advice and guidance and being an integral part of their journey to settling in Canada.
Bindu is truly excited to be working with IMMIAID and looks forward to supporting its mission to guide
and help newcomers and their families in Canada.
Sindumole John Purush, a Canadian Immigration Lawyer, holds a degree in LL.M from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and M.A. in Labour Studies from McMaster University, Ontario. Driven by her passion for helping oppressed and marginalized people, she offers innovative and practical solutions to complex immigration legal issues. She recognizes herself as a social engineer and dedicates herself to putting forward legal solutions to complicate immigration-related matters.
Her interests in labour and human rights motivated her to enroll in the Master of Arts Program in Labour Studies at McMaster. She chose ‘Critics of the Human Rights Approach to Labour Rights’ as her primary research paper in her M.A. Her research focused on promoting labour rights within the human rights framework. In addition, she has completed J.D. Equivalency NCA examinations for foreign-trained lawyers and the Law Practice Program at Ryerson University.
She completed the Barrister & Solicitor Examinations and was called to the Bar in Ontario, following which she became the founding director at Immilaw Immigration Law Professional Corporation. Immilaw specializes in immigration concerns, including permanent residence, judicial review, and appeals. She was at the forefront of many campaigns in India against immigration fraud and job scams
