Family Violence awareness program

The Program intends to educate newcomers on family violence and offers inclusive services to the victims that fit their needs. This Program identifies the role of cultural beliefs in domestic violence. It provides awareness of culturally informed strategies and viable options for the victims operating within diverse cultural frameworks and experiencing domestic violence. The Program intends to help families to gain insight into various forms of intimate partner violence (IPV) and its damaging impact on the emotional and physical well-being of the children and other family members. Furthermore, the Program promotes awareness of the policies and practices the Canadian child protection authorities have implemented in response to children witnessing violence in the home.
